Use of the service

CrimeRisk.ai grants you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to access and use the Service for legitimate business and professional purposes, subject to these Terms and any applicable written agreement.

You may use the Service to evaluate locations, review risk and demographic intelligence, compare properties or markets, and generate reports for your organization or professional work.

Account responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Protecting your login credentials
• Limiting access to authorized users
• Providing accurate and current account information
• All activity conducted through your account
• Promptly notifying CrimeRisk.ai of suspected unauthorized access

Login credentials may not be shared with unauthorized users.

Reports and permitted sharing

You may use and share reports generated through the Service with clients, colleagues, lenders, insurers, advisers, and other decision-makers in connection with legitimate business or professional advisory activities.

You may not:

• Resell or commercially redistribute CrimeRisk.ai reports or data as a standalone product
• Publish substantial portions of the Service or its underlying data for general public use
• Remove proprietary notices or misrepresent the source of a report
• Use reports or data to create a competing database, product, or service

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
• Share access with unauthorized users
• Attempt to bypass account, usage, or security restrictions
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to obtain the source code of the Service
• Use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools to extract data without written permission
• Copy or systematically download substantial portions of the platform
• Use the Service or its outputs to develop or train a competing product
• Interfere with the performance, security, or availability of the Service
• Use the Service to make decisions about individuals in a manner prohibited by applicable law

CrimeRisk.ai may take reasonable steps to prevent misuse and protect the Service, its users, and its data providers.

Information and decision support

CrimeRisk.ai provides modeled crime risk, demographic, geographic, socioeconomic, and environmental intelligence derived from third-party data, models, and other sources.

The information is intended to support location analysis and business decision-making. It is not a guarantee or prediction of future events and should not replace independent research, inspections, professional advice, or other appropriate due diligence.

Although we work to provide reliable information, data may contain errors, omissions, delays, or limitations. Results may also vary based on geographic coverage, data availability, methodology, and other factors.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, interfaces, trademarks, visualizations, reports, and related technology, is owned by CrimeRisk.ai or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited rights granted under these Terms, no ownership rights are transferred to you.

You retain ownership of information you submit to the Service. You authorize CrimeRisk.ai to process that information only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service, subject to our Privacy Policy and any applicable written agreement.

Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information are described in the CrimeRisk.ai Privacy Policy.

Customer searches, saved locations, comparisons, uploaded information, and generated reports are handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and any applicable written agreement.

Suspension and termination

CrimeRisk.ai may suspend or restrict access when we reasonably believe that:

• An account has violated these Terms
• The Service is being used unlawfully or abusively
• Unauthorized access or a security risk has occurred
• Continued access may harm the Service, CrimeRisk.ai, another user, or a third party

Where reasonably practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.

Paid subscriptions are also subject to the suspension and termination provisions contained in the applicable subscription agreement or order form.

Service availability and warranties

CrimeRisk.ai works to maintain a reliable and useful platform, but uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and the information available through it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

Any warranties contained in a separate written agreement will control over this section.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CrimeRisk.ai and its affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages, including lost profits, revenue, business opportunities, or data.

CrimeRisk.ai’s total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the amount paid to CrimeRisk.ai for the Service during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

If a separate written agreement applies, the liability provisions in that agreement will control.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Unless a separate written agreement provides otherwise, disputes relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Smith County, Texas.
